BLESSING IN GIVING

 


The most important thing we learn from the living Triune God is everyone who has a relationship with the living God cannot stop himself from giving. The Scripture in John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” So, if we have a relationship with the living Triune God then it would be normal for us to give. 2 Corinthians 9:7 informs us that God loves a cheerful giver. It is mandatory that tithe, offering, and whatever God puts in our heart we must offer to Him cheerfully. For whatever we are and we have received is given to us by God. God has taught me this principle in the beginning of the ministry and it is no wonder that God blessed me and made me a blessing for others. I can tell you with my own experience along with the authority of the Word of God and with assurance I can say that those who sow cheerfully would never lack. Luke 6:38 clearly mentions: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” You will be blessed only when the measure you use will be measured unto you.


Now the question arises from where do we learn to give?


Only from the Triune God of the Cross! John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” In other words, the Father God had only one Son to whom He sacrificed on the cross to save the entire world from sin, and today He has hundreds and thousands of sons. So giving takes you on your way to progress and prosperity. We got to be a good stewards to whatever God has blessed us with. The time that we have, money that we earn, possession, children so and so forth are seeds. When we sow seed, the harvest is bound to come not forgetting how we give and where we give. When we give according to the biblical principle, cheerfully and wholeheartedly, we acknowledge the living God who is in command and Lord of the harvest. Besides, giving is an act of worship before our living God according to Philippians 4:18-19. So, cheerful giving must be a Christian life-style.  

Testimony 1:

I know a man who was caught up in stealing and working as a goon. He accepted the Lord and started learning about sowing and giving. He started giving tithe in faith and today he earns more than fifty thousand.

Testimony 2:

I want to tell you about a brother who had an old car. First, he wanted to sell but when he learned about sowing then he gave his old car to a pastor. After a few months, God blessed him with a new car. 

Testimony 3

A daughter of a brother was suffering from cerebral malaria because of which he would visit the doctor again and again. He had spent a lot of money for the healing of his daughter. During this time, he learned about giving from a preacher. In faith, he sowed for the healing of his daughter and the very same evening his daughter was totally healed by God.

Testimony 4

I know a sister who was about to lose her job. She learned about giving and sowed the seed for her particular concern and it so happened that God blessed her not only with the job but also with an increment.

Testimony 5

I know a brother who used to tithe and sow seed. He used to live in a small house. But slowly and steadily God blessed him with a bigger house and not only that but God raised his salary too.

Why temple veil torn..?

Do you know that when Jesus Christ died, the veil on the temple was torn in two parts from top to bottom (Mark 15:38)?  The word ‘temple’ in original language is ‘Naos’ – often denotes only the innermost sacred part of the building. So, what did God want to say from the above-mentioned verse? The answer is, in the Old Testament, God’s presence was behind the veil in the innermost sacred part of the temple and in the New Testament, that presence has come out of that place and God speaks to His people by residing in their hearts. My Testimony - Apostle Winston Joseph, Ph. D
