  Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” The word ‘saved’ in Greek is ‘Sozo’ which means salvation and its other meanings are:  (a) forgiveness of sin,  (b) healing or health,  © peace,  (d) prosperity,  (e) eternal life and  (f) blessing.  So, the one word ‘Sozo’ not only means forgiveness of sins but it also includes healing, health, peace, prosperity, eternal life, and blessings. But when one talks of Salvation only as forgiveness of sins, then it is too shallow because it is just like a father who has a hundred crores in his bank account, and although the son is entitled for the entire amount but spends only a few lakhs for the rest of his life and struggles for list of the things.   The root word for ‘holiness’ comes from the Greek word ‘Hagios’, which has three meanings: a) Separated from the ordinary b) Separated from the common usage c) Something holy is that which has been brought into relationship with God and designated by Him as having a sacred purpose. We must be clear that simply by living a holy life we do not become holy. If it would have been possible then the death of Christ would have been useless. Our holiness is in Christ, which is the wisdom of God i.e., Christ has become holiness, righteousness, and redemption for us as scripted in 1 Corinthians 1:30. We must keep our eyes on Christ forever. The devil wants us to focus on ourselves and to view ourselves as to how unrighteous and unholy we are, but God’s plan for us is to continually look at and keep our focus on Christ. We need to understand that Adam’s blessing was in being obedient to God’s command of not eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam’s life was hidden in the tree of life, but our blessing is not hidden in the tree of life. Our blessing is hidden in Christ and walking in the fullness of Christ.   Here we must know that the Old Covenant failed because it was a covenant between God and man. In other words, both the parties had to work and be faithful to the covenant. For the success of the covenant, God had to play the part and He kept His covenant and was faithful to it. But the problem was with men, who could not work out their holiness and consequently failed to keep the covenant. However, under the  New Covenant , it is possible to keep and maintain holiness, because, now God the Father did not make the covenant with a man but with His Own Son, who represented mankind. So, this covenant became successful because in this covenant both the parts were played by God...

  OMNISCIENT (All-Knowing): The Father is All-Knowing If we study the Bible we understand the Father’s characteristic as omniscient, i.e. All-Knowing. Does that mean that the Son and the Holy Spirit are not omniscient? Absolutely not! Applying the above analogy of joint account of three persons i.e. husband, wife, and the child, we understand just as the Father is omniscient, so are the Son and the Holy Spirit, as they are all one, that is, having a joint account as John 17:10 tells us, “All I (the Son) have is yours (the Father) , and all you (the Father) have is mine (the Son). And glory has come to me (the Son) through them (one account-being).” So whatever the Son has, the Holy Spirit has and the Father also has the same. This is a clear example of sharing one account of three people. So, every characteristic that the Father has also belongs to the Son and the Holy Spirit.   Even long before the creation fell into sin and fell short of the glory of God — the Triune God had a plan to shape and make our lives in Christ. The Bible says in 1 Peter1:19–20 “but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.” Here we can understand one thing about our God, that He has a solution even before a problem appears. On the contrary, human being looks for the solution after being into the problem. Keeping this in mind let us study the word Jeremiah 18:1–4 “This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.” Here, the potter is God the Father who is working at t...

 Self Control is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit as Galatians 5:22 reveal us. Every believer must have the Spirit that produces self-control. King Solomon tells us in Proverbs 25:28, “Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.” A man who has self-control is like a city that is sealed, has protection and security under the power of the authority; whereas a man without self-control lacks not only protection and security but is vulnerable to outside danger. So, from where do we believers receive our model of being in self-control? We learn this from Jesus on the cross who did not lose His self-control before the self-esteemed and self-righteous Jews religious leaders. They hurled an insult at Him saying if He has the power to come down from the cross and then they would believe Him. I would like you to know about confession that means your spoken words are important. Where do we learn this from? We learn this from the Triune God who created the entire creation with His spoken word and held the entire creation with the power of His word. (Hebrews 11:3, 1:3)   From John 1:1, we observe that the spoken word of God is important to an extent that even Lord Jesus is addressed as the Word. That means the one who shapes the word so that it would not return void to God. In other words, they (the Triune God) would do everything only according to the Word and nothing out of the word. God is committed to His word. As the spoken word of God is important, in the same way your spoken words are of great importance. So, never speak negative words that can destroy your life but instead confess the Word of God. So, we must fill our hearts and mind with the word of God so that when you confess the Word then God would be committed to work in life according to His word. Confes...

THE ALL-POWERFUL GOD OMNIPOTENT (All-Powerful): The Son is All-Powerful The Son’s quality and characteristic is one of power and authority.  Matthew 28:18  states , “Then Jesus came to them and said , “ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”  The Son is Omnipotent. We read the same in  Daniel 7:13–14 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” Does that mean that the Father and the Holy Spirit are not omnipotent?   Partake and Proclaim 1 Corinthians 11:26 also says, ‘You proclaim the Lord’s death.’ Now my question is to whom do we proclaim the Lord’s death? We don’t proclaim the Lord’s death to the world; we proclaim the Lord’s resurrection to the world. We declare Lord’s death to ourselves, to the parts of our body and say we are dead to sin because when a person is dead then that person can never sin. We all are dead to sin and alive to God in Christ. Partake Worthily! 1 Corinthians 11:27 “Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.”1 Corinthians 11:28 “A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.” When we partake of the table according to 1 Corinthians 11:27,28 then two words are of utmost importance which are ‘unworthy’ and ‘examine.’ The word ‘unworthy’ in Greek is ‘anaxious’ which also means ‘unsuitable’ or ‘not correspondi...

Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.” The word ‘arise’ in Hebrew is ‘qum’ which means ‘to be ‘established’. Now the question arises, what is to be established? We are to be established in the glory, which is the very foundation of our life. So, we ought to not only to be established in the glory but also move in this glory which is ever increasing. In other words, we are supposed to move from one level of glory to another level of glory. Isaiah 60:2 “See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” The Lord rises upon you means we become the channel through which He begins to manifest Himself. That is why it is said in Ephesians 1:12–13 that we are the praise of His glory and His literal glory appears over us.   God has given the ultimate fullness of life to every believer known as Zoe which is God kind of life. Let us first understand what ‘Zoe’ means. Although in the New Testament, it is translated as ‘life’ in English whereas, in the Greek language, there are two words for life, one is ‘bios’ and the other one is ‘Zoe’. 2 Timothy 2:4 says, “No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” This English word ‘life’ refers to the Greek word ‘bios’ which is the life of the physical body’ or ‘natural life’. John 1:4 says, “in him was life, and that life was the light of men.” Here, the Greek word ‘zoe’ refers to ‘uncreated’, ‘eternal life of God’, or ‘the divine life uniquely possessed by God.’ Even before the creation of the world, the perfect plan of God was to impart Zoe life i.e. God's kind of life to mankind.   The Scripture clearly tells us in Matthew 6:12, 14–15 that when we forgive people God will also forgive our sins rather it adds that as we forgive, God will forgive us in the same measure. Where do we learn to forgive? We learn to forgive from the Triune God in action on the cross. When the Son of the Highest God, Himself prays to His Father for the people who crucified Him saying for they knew not what they were doing. So, when we follow the Triune God we can also forgive our debtors because His grace comes upon us to forgive.   The Triune God is expressed in the image of oneness and so we ought to have unity in the church. As the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one in unity, we can have unity in our relationships, and because of the way the Father relates to his Son in unity, we can also relate to one another in the same way. A person who divides churches or family had not understood the oneness of the Triune God. The unity is the foundation of the Triune God because the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are united and the same can be achieved in the body of Christ. Testimony: Sometime back I was supposed to preach in a church where the spirit of the division was at work. I received specific instructions from God to preach on the unity of the church.  Out of love of God comes out joy — any other joy produced other than the Triune God is short-lived and is not joy at all. For example, the joy that comes after watching a movie is short-lived and that is not the joy we are talking about. When Jesus said in John 17:13, “…they may have the full measure of my joy within them.” This teaches us joy is within us denoting the spiritual joy is deposited inside us. Joy is a spiritual substance. The world laughs when everything is going well with them. But a believer has joy even in the most difficult situation because this joy is inside them and we can use it whenever we want to use it. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:2, “…who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame…” Jesus had joy inside Him so He could use even at the time of the cross. The Bible tells us in Nehemiah 8:10, “…for the joy of the Lord is your strength” and if we lose our joy, our strength is gone. So, we should be careful to guard our joy in every si...
