FORGIVENESS

The Scripture clearly tells us in Matthew 6:12, 14–15 that when we forgive people God will also forgive our sins rather it adds that as we forgive, God will forgive us in the same measure. Where do we learn to forgive? We learn to forgive from the Triune God in action on the cross. When the Son of the Highest God, Himself prays to His Father for the people who crucified Him saying for they knew not what they were doing. So, when we follow the Triune God we can also forgive our debtors because His grace comes upon us to forgive. God desires to be with you.

Matthew 1:23 states, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel-which means God with us”. In Greek, the word ‘with’ is ‘meta’ meaning ‘in the midst of us’. Ever since God created Mankind, He always wanted to be in their midst, being with them eternally. Hence, God made Adam and Eve in His own image and likeness and gave them dominion over all the created things. Every day God would visit them in the cool of the day to fellowship with them. But as Adam and Eve sinned, they plunged the entire human race in the hands of the devil, which broke and destroyed their fellowship with God. On the contrary, when we read Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” Hence, when God created mankind, He had an eternal purpose of becoming one with His creation. To fulfill this purpose, God chose Virgin Mary and took the form of a human in her womb...

Do you know God's heart?

To get a clear understanding of God’s heart through the Scriptures let us meditate on scripture Exodus 3:14 when God said to Moses, “I AM, WHO I AM.” Then God told him to tell the Israelites that whose name is ‘I AM’ has sent him to them. When we read this verse without the revelation of the Holy Spirit, it gives us an impression that God remains engrossed in His own world (realm), with no concern for mankind and uninterested in their day to day chores. But if we study the Word of God in the light of the Holy Spirit, it portrays altogether a different picture, wherein Jesus Himself commanded us to pray to give us this day our daily bread (Matthew 6:11). In order to provide for our daily needs, God desires that we involve Him in all our day to day activities and He is the center of our every decision. Hence, God wants and longs to be involved in every aspect of our life. As we read the scripture Exodus 3:14, the word ‘I AM’ in Hebrew is ‘Hayah’, which means, ‘to become or becomin...
