Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” The word ‘saved’ in Greek is ‘Sozo’ which means salvation and its other meanings are:

(a) forgiveness of sin,

(b) healing or health,

© peace,

(d) prosperity,

(e) eternal life and

(f) blessing.

So, the one word ‘Sozo’ not only means forgiveness of sins but it also includes healing, health, peace, prosperity, eternal life, and blessings.

But when one talks of Salvation only as forgiveness of sins, then it is too shallow because it is just like a father who has a hundred crores in his bank account, and although the son is entitled for the entire amount but spends only a few lakhs for the rest of his life and struggles for list of the things. Here, it is not the father’s fault, rather it’s the ignorance on the part of the son to not fully utilize what the father has in store for him. Exactly in the same manner, in the body of Christ, there are those who preach salvation is just the forgiveness of sins; which is a partial truth and partial lie because Christ has paid a high price for us. But the problem with the body of Christ is that we have not taken advantage of enormity of the price paid by Christ on the cross.

He has paid so much not for so little but paid everything till the last breath. Therefore, we must live and enjoy everything He paid for in full. Let me explain what I am saying with a story. A man took a loan of one million from one of his acquaintances and he could not return that money by any means. So almost every day that acquaintance would come and shout at him and create confusion and fight in his house. One day, a rich father of that borrower came to his house and they were having a splendid time. All of a sudden, the lender came and knocked on the door and there was panic when the borrower started to run here and there to hide himself and witnessing the commotion in the house, the father asked the son what was the matter? The son explained to his father the reason for it. Then father himself went and opened the door and took the lender inside the house. The father asked the lender how much his son has borrowed and he said just one million. The father said I will come and meet you tomorrow at your house. So, the father went to meet the lender at his house. When he met the person, he told that his son had borrowed only one million but he was paying back ten millions to him and also warned him to never ever set his eyes on his son. However, if the message is not communicated effectively to the son then the son might live in ignorance and fear even though much more have been paid by the father.

This is exactly what has happened to many believers, they live in total ignorance of the reality of what Jesus has done for them. They say Jesus has just paid for their sins, but not paid for their sickness, poverty, curse, health, etc. Instead of taking advantage of what Jesus has done for them, they live in ignorance just like the borrower and die in their pain and sickness. Then they say that it was not the will of God for them to be healed, which is like saying that Heavenly Father is worst than earthly father which is absolute ignorance. But the reality of the matter is that Jesus had done everything and there is nothing left over to be done. Therefore 1 Corinthians 6:20 says that “you were bought at a price. Therefore, glorify God with your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19 says that“…you are not your own.” — in other words, we dwell in God and he becomes our very existence.

In reality, we walk and move and have our being in Him. So, we ought to glorify God in our body by living in glory without sickness. Now my question to you is why did Jesus die? Good question! You may have many answers, but I have one according to Hebrews 2:10, “In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation complete the work through suffering.” So, the ultimate purpose of the cross was to bring many sons to glory. In order for God’s purpose to prevail, it was settled even before the creation of the world that Christ will come and die in our place and to bring us back to glory.

My Testimony - Apostle Winston Joseph, Ph. D

Healed from Asthama Many years ago, I had asthma. It was a hereditary disease in my family and I witnessed one of my aunts who died because of it in a very dreadful situation. She was hanged upside down to ease her predicament. I had the same disease and there was a time in my life when I could not sit nor stand because of the illness. I could not breathe properly and sometimes I used to have excruciating pain at my back due to the that illness. Also, I had severe dust allergy, even if a little dust went into my nostrils, I would sneeze for a long time. But when I came to know that the Word is the truth and that the fact can be changed through the truth , I started to take hold of the Word and declare and decree it for days and days. Devil used to show me the fact that this disease is incurable. But I kept on declaring the truth i.e. the Word until I was totally healed and delivered from that disease. Now I know that I am born of the Spirit, walking in glory in divine health whi...

Why temple veil torn..?

Do you know that when Jesus Christ died, the veil on the temple was torn in two parts from top to bottom (Mark 15:38)?  The word ‘temple’ in original language is ‘Naos’ – often denotes only the innermost sacred part of the building. So, what did God want to say from the above-mentioned verse? The answer is, in the Old Testament, God’s presence was behind the veil in the innermost sacred part of the temple and in the New Testament, that presence has come out of that place and God speaks to His people by residing in their hearts. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit who is the third person of the Trinity, would come upon a person only for a specific time and a specific purpose and after that particular purpose was achieved and the time was over the Holy Spirit had to leave. But in the New Testament, due to the veil of the temple being torn, every believer now can be filled with the Holy Spirit.                        ...
