SIN OR HOLINESS

Now, the million-dollar question is, having said that the law is terminated or nullified and we are made holy and immersed in holiness and righteousness of Christ, then are we free to commit any sin we feel like? No! Not at all!! The Bible says in Romans 6:1–2, “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?”

According to Romans 6:2 by no means! As we have died to sin, how can we live in it any longer? Romans 6:3 says, “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?” What does that mean?

Christ died taking our sins, but now we don’t have to die taking our sins rather we have to die to sin. It means when the opportunity arises to sin, we cannot act to sin because we are dead to sin. When the opportunity arises for adultery or cheats or telling lies, we cannot do so, because we are dead to adultery or to cheat or to lie.

Another thing to be noted in Colossians 2:15 is that Satan and his entire kingdom were totally disarmed. In other words, Christ left them with no weapon at all. But the most horrible thing was since the devil had no weapon at all, he got his weapon in the parts of your body which he was using as an instrument of weakness. As in Romans 6:13 now reverse that totally with righteousness, indignation- offer yourself to God so that your body part can be an instrument of righteousness and hence your eyes will then become a terror for the devil and when you lift your hands it will make him tremble and fall, your tongue will utter words that will make him flee and your legs destroy strongholds of the devil and destroy him. That is what the plan of the Triune God was. The devil’s downfall, defeat, and annihilation are written under your feet. Everywhere you step, it will be for the glory of our Triune God.

Testimony

Here, I would like to mention a young boy whom the Triune God brought out of sin and death, made a weapon of righteousness, and filled him with hope and life. This brother was entrenched in worldly desires before coming to faith. Due to being in bad company, he was caught in many bad habits. He was fully addicted to smoking, drinking, taking drugs. His family had given up hope on him. Everyone used to say that he is good for nothing. But when that brother came to Church and accepted Lord Jesus in his life, Lord Jesus filled this brother with His presence and this brother surrendered every organ of his body and his life to the Lord to make them as weapons of righteousness. Gradually, he got rid of all bad habits. As he started coming regularly to the Church, he learned the purpose of his life and hoped to become something in life. Today this brother is doing good business even at such a young age and is taking responsibility for his family. Today everyone in his house is very happy with him.

Why temple veil torn..?

Do you know that when Jesus Christ died, the veil on the temple was torn in two parts from top to bottom (Mark 15:38)?  The word ‘temple’ in original language is ‘Naos’ – often denotes only the innermost sacred part of the building. So, what did God want to say from the above-mentioned verse? The answer is, in the Old Testament, God’s presence was behind the veil in the innermost sacred part of the temple and in the New Testament, that presence has come out of that place and God speaks to His people by residing in their hearts. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit who is the third person of the Trinity, would come upon a person only for a specific time and a specific purpose and after that particular purpose was achieved and the time was over the Holy Spirit had to leave. But in the New Testament, due to the veil of the temple being torn, every believer now can be filled with the Holy Spirit.                        ...

BLESSING IN GIVING

The most important thing we learn from the living Triune God is everyone who has a relationship with the living God cannot stop himself from giving. The Scripture in John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” So, if we have a relationship with the living Triune God then it would be normal for us to give. 2 Corinthians 9:7 informs us that God loves a cheerful giver. It is mandatory that tithe, offering, and whatever God puts in our heart we must offer to Him cheerfully. For whatever we are and we have received is given to us by God. God has taught me this principle in the beginning of the ministry and it is no wonder that God blessed me and made me a blessing for others. I can tell you with my own experience along with the authority of the Word of God and with assurance I can say that those who sow cheerfully would never lack. Luke 6:38 clearly mentions: “Give, and it will be...
