Church is called to trample the devil

Not only we are the house of the Triune God, but we have also become the temple of the living God. Though triune being lives in this house, however it is a temple through which we manifest his presence. Solomon’s temple was glorious, so much so that God’s glory filled the temple to an extent that those ministering would be slain in the spirit (2 Chronicles 5:14).

As the Bible says in Haggai 2:9, “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house.”

But 2 Corinthians 6:16 says, “… for we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them…”.

In Greek, the word for ‘walk among them’ is ‘enperipateo’ made of three Greek words ‘En’ meaning ‘in’, ‘peri’ meaning ‘concerning’, ‘pateo’ meaning ‘trampling’ and putting them altogether we get the perception that God is living inside us and is concerned about us and continually trampling all the works of the enemy through us.

The Triune God is living inside you to set the things right if they have gone wrong or missing or broken. The sole purpose of the Triune God living inside us is to destroy and trample the devil under our feet. One of the greatest pleasures of our God is to see the church destroy the devil.

In 1 Corinthians 7:17 “Nevertheless, each one should retain the place in life that Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him….”

In Greek, the word for ‘retain the place” is ‘peripateo’ which is combination of ‘peri’ meaning ‘around’ and ‘pateo’ meaning ‘trample, so the assignment and your calling is trampling of the devil under your feet. His intent in Ephesians 3:10 was that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms. If I elaborate this verse it will take many pages which I cannot do here. But I would like to touch the periphery of this verse so that you will understand why the Triune God is staying inside us?

BLESSING IN GIVING

The most important thing we learn from the living Triune God is everyone who has a relationship with the living God cannot stop himself from giving. The Scripture in John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” So, if we have a relationship with the living Triune God then it would be normal for us to give. 2 Corinthians 9:7 informs us that God loves a cheerful giver. It is mandatory that tithe, offering, and whatever God puts in our heart we must offer to Him cheerfully. For whatever we are and we have received is given to us by God. God has taught me this principle in the beginning of the ministry and it is no wonder that God blessed me and made me a blessing for others. I can tell you with my own experience along with the authority of the Word of God and with assurance I can say that those who sow cheerfully would never lack. Luke 6:38 clearly mentions: “Give, and it will be...

Why temple veil torn..?

Do you know that when Jesus Christ died, the veil on the temple was torn in two parts from top to bottom (Mark 15:38)?  The word ‘temple’ in original language is ‘Naos’ – often denotes only the innermost sacred part of the building. So, what did God want to say from the above-mentioned verse? The answer is, in the Old Testament, God’s presence was behind the veil in the innermost sacred part of the temple and in the New Testament, that presence has come out of that place and God speaks to His people by residing in their hearts. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit who is the third person of the Trinity, would come upon a person only for a specific time and a specific purpose and after that particular purpose was achieved and the time was over the Holy Spirit had to leave. But in the New Testament, due to the veil of the temple being torn, every believer now can be filled with the Holy Spirit.                        ...
