I am what I am





‘Jehovah’ is the embodiment i.e. expression of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The name of Jesus is the embodiment of all the names of God in the Old Testament.

In the Old Testament, God revealed Himself by different names in different situations as for example in Genesis 1:1, God is called ‘Elohim’, the Creator and under the New Testament in Hebrews 1:10–11, Jesus Christ is called the Creator.

If we further read Genesis 17:1, then He is called ‘El-Shaddai’, the Almighty; however in the New Testament when we read Revelation 1:8 then Jesus Christ is that Almighty.

When we read Genesis 18:3 God is called ‘my Lord’ i.e. ‘Adonai’, and in the New Testament when we read John 20:13 Jesus Christ is called my Master.

If we further read Genesis 22:14, God is called the Provider i.e. ‘Jehovah Jireh’, and in Philippians 4:19 our needs are met in Christ, in other words, Jesus Christ is our Provider in the New Testament.

In Exodus 15:26, God is called the Healer i.e. ‘Jehovah Rapha’, while we read in Matthew 8:16 and 17 that he took our infirmities and sickness. In other words, Jesus Christ is our Healer.

  Healed from Asthama Many years ago, I had asthma. It was a hereditary disease in my family and I witnessed one of my aunts who died because of it in a very dreadful situation. She was hanged upside down to ease her predicament. I had the same disease and there was a time in my life when I could not sit nor stand because of the illness.
