Who is Jehovah?

WHO IS THE ALMIGHTY JEHOVAH SEEN BY ISAIAH?

1 Timothy 6:16 tells us, “who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.”

John 1:18 says, “No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.”

John 5:37 confirms, “…You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,” According to the above verses no one has ever seen God the Father nor heard His voice and no one can ever see Him in future. Now, keeping this in mind, let us look at Isaiah 6:1 “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord (Jehovah) seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple.”

And _Isaiah 6:5 states, “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”

Isaiah 6.8 states, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Now reiterating the above-mentioned verses (1 Timothy 6:16, John 1:18, and John 5:37) we reach to conclusion that no one had ever seen God the Father and no one can ever see Him. Then the question arises as to whom did Isaiah, the prophet see and hear?

John 12:41 reveals, “Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him (Jesus).”

From the above verses and their explanation, we draw and conclude that Jehovah is not just the Father’s name but the name of the Triune God also.

In John 14:23 Jesus replied, “….and we will come to him and make our home with him.” It is worth noticing that the words ‘we’ and ‘our’ clearly denote the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That is why Paul states in Philippians 2:11, “and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Jehovah), to the glory of God the Father.”

Now the question arises how is it that when we declare Jesus is Lord (Jehovah) then the glory goes to the Father? The answer to this is very simple that as the name ‘Jehovah’ (the Lord) is not just the name of ‘the Father’, but also of ‘the Son’ and ‘the Holy Spirit’. That is why the Scripture tells us about the declaration of Jesus in John 5:43 “I have come in my Father’s name…”

So, what is that name?….

Why temple veil torn..?

Do you know that when Jesus Christ died, the veil on the temple was torn in two parts from top to bottom (Mark 15:38)?  The word ‘temple’ in original language is ‘Naos’ – often denotes only the innermost sacred part of the building. So, what did God want to say from the above-mentioned verse? The answer is, in the Old Testament, God’s presence was behind the veil in the innermost sacred part of the temple and in the New Testament, that presence has come out of that place and God speaks to His people by residing in their hearts. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit who is the third person of the Trinity, would come upon a person only for a specific time and a specific purpose and after that particular purpose was achieved and the time was over the Holy Spirit had to leave. But in the New Testament, due to the veil of the temple being torn, every believer now can be filled with the Holy Spirit.                        ...

BLESSING IN GIVING

The most important thing we learn from the living Triune God is everyone who has a relationship with the living God cannot stop himself from giving. The Scripture in John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” So, if we have a relationship with the living Triune God then it would be normal for us to give. 2 Corinthians 9:7 informs us that God loves a cheerful giver. It is mandatory that tithe, offering, and whatever God puts in our heart we must offer to Him cheerfully. For whatever we are and we have received is given to us by God. God has taught me this principle in the beginning of the ministry and it is no wonder that God blessed me and made me a blessing for others. I can tell you with my own experience along with the authority of the Word of God and with assurance I can say that those who sow cheerfully would never lack. Luke 6:38 clearly mentions: “Give, and it will be...
