UNITY

The Triune God is expressed in the image of oneness and so we ought to have unity in the church. As the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one in unity, we can have unity in our relationships, and because of the way the Father relates to his Son in unity, we can also relate to one another in the same way. A person who divides churches or family had not understood the oneness of the Triune God. The unity is the foundation of the Triune God because the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are united and the same can be achieved in the body of Christ. Testimony: Sometime back I was supposed to preach in a church where the spirit of the division was at work. I received specific instructions from God to preach on the unity of the church. By the grace of God bestowed upon me to deliver the sermon on the subject, as a result, the church finally got united and blessed and filled with the glory of God. JOY

Out of love of God comes out joy — any other joy produced other than the Triune God is short-lived and is not joy at all. For example, the joy that comes after watching a movie is short-lived and that is not the joy we are talking about. When Jesus said in John 17:13, “…they may have the full measure of my joy within them.” This teaches us joy is within us denoting the spiritual joy is deposited inside us. Joy is a spiritual substance. The world laughs when everything is going well with them. But a believer has joy even in the most difficult situation because this joy is inside them and we can use it whenever we want to use it. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:2, “…who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame…” Jesus had joy inside Him so He could use even at the time of the cross. The Bible tells us in Nehemiah 8:10, “…for the joy of the Lord is your strength” and if we lose our joy, our strength is gone. So, we should be careful to guard our joy in every si...

BLESSING IN GIVING

The most important thing we learn from the living Triune God is everyone who has a relationship with the living God cannot stop himself from giving. The Scripture in John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” So, if we have a relationship with the living Triune God then it would be normal for us to give. 2 Corinthians 9:7 informs us that God loves a cheerful giver. It is mandatory that tithe, offering, and whatever God puts in our heart we must offer to Him cheerfully. For whatever we are and we have received is given to us by God. God has taught me this principle in the beginning of the ministry and it is no wonder that God blessed me and made me a blessing for others. I can tell you with my own experience along with the authority of the Word of God and with assurance I can say that those who sow cheerfully would never lack. Luke 6:38 clearly mentions: “Give, and it will be...

TO RECOGNISE THE INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The first role of the Holy Spirit to testify, glorify and reveal Jesus Let us read some of the scriptures to understand this role of the Holy Spirit. John 15:26 “…he (Holy Spirit) will testify about me (Jesus).” John 16:14 “He (Holy Spirit) will bring glory to me (Jesus)…” Ephesians 1:17 “…may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation (i.e., about Jesus)…” Ephesians 3:4–5 “In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.” The most important role of the Holy Spirit is to testify and glorify Jesus. Acts 2:4 says “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit…” In Acts 2:14, “Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd:…” and Acts 2:36, “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Now, if we carefully read ...

You are God's beloved!

1John 3:1, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are…” As we study the scripture verses from Ephesians 3:14–20, it reveals to us that, God not only desired to be involved in our daily living, but He also wanted to have a family. In order to fulfill His purpose, God sowed a seed of His one and only Son, so as to reap a harvest of innumerable sons and daughters. The Bible reveals to us that because of the death of Jesus Christ, we as a human race have received a name of our Saviour, i.e., the name of ‘Jesus’, through which we recognize our Heavenly family. God also wants that we become strong in our innermost being so that any problem won’t be a problem for us at all. The ultimate desire of our God is that he wants to dwell in our hearts so that we become rooted and established in His love. The God we serve is not a God who has love, but He Himself is love. God would do immeasurably more than all we can po...

God desires to be with you.

Matthew 1:23 states, “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel-which means God with us”. In Greek, the word ‘with’ is ‘meta’ meaning ‘in the midst of us’. Ever since God created Mankind, He always wanted to be in their midst, being with them eternally. Hence, God made Adam and Eve in His own image and likeness and gave them dominion over all the created things. Every day God would visit them in the cool of the day to fellowship with them. But as Adam and Eve sinned, they plunged the entire human race in the hands of the devil, which broke and destroyed their fellowship with God. On the contrary, when we read Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” Hence, when God created mankind, He had an eternal purpose of becoming one with His creation. To fulfill this purpose, God chose Virgin Mary and took the form of a human in her womb...

Do you know God's heart?

To get a clear understanding of God’s heart through the Scriptures let us meditate on scripture Exodus 3:14 when God said to Moses, “I AM, WHO I AM.” Then God told him to tell the Israelites that whose name is ‘I AM’ has sent him to them. When we read this verse without the revelation of the Holy Spirit, it gives us an impression that God remains engrossed in His own world (realm), with no concern for mankind and uninterested in their day to day chores. But if we study the Word of God in the light of the Holy Spirit, it portrays altogether a different picture, wherein Jesus Himself commanded us to pray to give us this day our daily bread (Matthew 6:11). In order to provide for our daily needs, God desires that we involve Him in all our day to day activities and He is the center of our every decision. Hence, God wants and longs to be involved in every aspect of our life. As we read the scripture Exodus 3:14, the word ‘I AM’ in Hebrew is ‘Hayah’, which means, ‘to become or becomin...

CORRECT UNDERSTANDING OF OUR GOD

Being and Person Being is a quality that constitutes what you are and a person is a quality that constitutes who you are. For example, who I am? I am Winston and I am one being and one person. I am human being and I am one person. But God is one being who has three persons. There is no other being like God on this earth. From the beginning, in Genesis 1:1 God is shown as one being and three persons. In Genesis 1:1, God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth. The word ‘Elohim’ is a plural noun. God is a divine being. In Genesis 1:26, God (Elohim) said, “We” (not I but We). Here the point to be noted is that God is saying and a plural noun is used for Him. Though the word ‘Trinity’ does not exist in the Bible, it does not mean that we do not believe in it. In the same way, the very word ‘Bible’ also doesn’t exist in the Bible, hence it does not mean that we will not accept the Bible. Now, if you turn to the book of ‘Esther’ the term ‘God’ does not exist anywhere in that book, yet we ...

I am what I am

‘Jehovah’ is the embodiment i.e. expression of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The name of Jesus is the embodiment of all the names of God in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, God revealed Himself by different names in different situations as for example in Genesis 1:1, God is called ‘Elohim’, the Creator and under the New Testament in Hebrews 1:10–11, Jesus Christ is called the Creator. If we further read Genesis 17:1, then He is called ‘El-Shaddai’, the Almighty; however in the New Testament when we read Revelation 1:8 then Jesus Christ is that Almighty. When we read Genesis 18:3 God is called ‘my Lord’ i.e. ‘Adonai’, and in the New Testament when we read John 20:13 Jesus Christ is called my Master. If we further read Genesis 22:14, God is called the Provider i.e. ‘Jehovah Jireh’, and in Philippians 4:19 our needs are met in Christ, in other words, Jesus Christ is our Provider in the New Testament. In Exodus 15:26, God is called the Healer i.e. ‘Jehovah Rapha’, while...
