स्त्री का पहला गुण- दोष ना लगानेवाली 1 तीमुथियुस 3:11 “इसी प्रकार से स्त्रियों को भी गम्भीर होना चाहिये ;  दोष लगानेवाली न हो , पर सचेत और सब बातो मे विश्वासयोग्य हों”। परमेश्वर यहाँ पर स्त्रियों के खास गुणों की व्याख्यान कर रहा है। वचन   यहाँ पर कह रहा है कि स्त्रियों को गंभीर होना चाहिये, इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि आपको हँसना नहीं चाहिये या हमेशा मुँह लटकाये रहना चाहिये ऐसा बिलकुल भी नहीं है। आप को हमेशा हर समय आनंदित रहना चाहिये, क्योंकि प्रभु का आनंद हमारा बल है। परन्तु जब किसी की भी बुराई या चुगली की बात आती है तो हमें उनके साथ एक नहीं होना चाहिये। यानी जब कोई स्त्री किसी की भी बुराई करके उस व्यक्ति के चरित्र को नीचे गिराना चाहती है, तो हमें अपने चेहरे पर गंभीरता लाना चाहिये ताकि आप उस सामने वाले व्यक्ति के मँुह को बंद कर सके। स्त्रियों को बुराई सुनने के लिये बहुत मजा आता है और वे कहती है कि मैंने तो सिर्फ सुना है। लेकिन आगे बाइबल यह लिखता है कि वे दोष लगानेवाली ना हो। परमेश्वर की भय माननेवाली स्त्रियों को ना ही किसी की बुराई सुनना चाहिये, ना ही किसी की बुराई करना चाहिये और ना ...
